Our York office is located in the centre of the City of York, established there since the 1960’s. The office comprises of three partners and some 20 staff who service our clients’ accountancy and tax needs throughout Yorkshire.
The office provides a wide range of compliance, accountancy and taxation services to a broad client base which ranges from business start ups, to medium sized companies. Over the years each partner has developed their own personal expertise which allows the practice to offer services and advice in a number of specialised areas, including trusts and estates, agriculture and farming, construction and property, tourism and charities.
Both graduate and non-graduate trainees will work in the accounts and assurance department where, from day one, they will receive hands on experience in the preparation of accounts for small sole traders and partnerships. As their experience and knowledge develops they will move onto larger and more complex assignments including preparing accounts for limited companies and going out on audit with more senior members of staff. Trainees will also spend a period in our tax department while studying for the ACA. There is a relaxed atmosphere within the office with an excellent support network, which means that there is always someone able and willing to help trainees with any queries they may have regarding both their work and their studies.
